A Little Off the Top and a Fun Parade

Bo has had quite a bit of hair since he was born and the last few months I have been trimming it around his ears. Recently I tried to do the top, bangs, and back. It didn't turn out horrible, but I knew he needed a real haircut soon. His hair was so puffy and all over the place and his bangs were inching to his eyes. So on Friday David and I took him to David's barber. At first I wanted him to get a haircut just like Daddy's, but I chickened out and he just got a little off the top. Daddy went first and Bo watched the whole thing, then it was his turn. He just sat there and let him cut his hair! Here are some highlights.

Before the haircut. "I don't know about this." Notice the crazy hair.

"This is kinda fun. I'm up high with a big black blanket on me!"

Just relaxing

Getting the sides trimmed.

"Hmmm, is that MY hair?"

"Hey! What are you doing?"

A view from the back.

So big!

The after picture. Same haircut, just less hair.

We decided to head downtown to see the St. Patrick's Day Parade because Bo hadn't been to a parade since August and even though he was really little, he liked it last time. These pictures are when we first got up to the parade. He was into people watching until Nana and Papa Bass took him closer to the road. From then on out it was clapping, waving, and dancing. He loved it! His favorites were the floats that had live music. He also got really excited about the Legoland float, but really what boy wouldn't? He also did his fair share of flirting with the ladies standing around him. He is such a ham.

He loved the band with loud drums.

Bo's going to be a what???

Yep, that's right. On about September 22nd Bo will have a brother or sister. I'm about 12 weeks pregnant and have been VERY sick for the past six weeks. I'm finally starting to feel a little better and I'm so glad. Everything has been going well and in about 8 weeks we will find out what we're having. This was sort of a surprise but we did want our kids to be close in age. After it took so long to have Bo we didn't want to wait and then it take another two years. We're so excited! So is Bo - even though you can't tell in the pictures. Thank you Katie Manthe for letting me borrow the backdrop and for editing the pictures. They look great!

I've been slacking!

I have not been doing a very good job at taking pictures lately. I need to get used to taking our camera when we go to birthday parties and get togethers. Anyway....

Naomi and her mom and dad came over after dinner one night to play. Naomi and Bo had so much fun! Naomi can walk, but she's very dainty so she and Bo played and no one got trampled. They see each other in the nursery every week, but one on one they realized they really liked playing together. Sorry for the quality of the first few pictures. My camera settings were messed up and I didn't want to miss anything fixing it.

I never caught both of them playing and looking at me at the same time. Naomi looks and gives a little smile.
Bo looks and gives a funny face.
"Don't look, they're trying to take our picture." Of course that was Bo talking.
Who is that pretty girl? Silly mom! That's Bo with Naomi's hair clip.
I like this picture because it looks like they're dancing.
This was just too cute not to take a picture of.
Daddy about to give Bo a bath. Dad had no shirt, I guess because he didn't want to get wet by "the splasher".

Having Fun

Bo really likes playing under the table, so I decided to make him a tent to play in. He wasn't quite sure about it. He did go in a little when I was in it and he went in again when the dogs were in there. We will have to build another one so he can get used to it.
Bo's tent
"Thanks for building me a tent mom!"
Trying it out
He thinks he's inside - ha!
Peaking out - that's about as far as he would go.
Pushing the chair around the kitchen.
Bo FINALLY cut a tooth, but I haven't gotten a shot of it yet.
Multitasking
Eating cheese - notice the begger
Now on the other side. Max is not very sneaky.
Bo's favorite new game. Tease the dog. "You want some cheese?"
"Here you go."
"Just kidding!"
"Ha, ha I tricked you!"

Our Boy the Dog

Bo loves our dogs and I think he thinks he's a dog. He pushes and hits the dogs when they steal his snacks, he carries things around in his mouth when he's crawling, and he will sometimes growl when he plays. He loves playing with his friends at church and they can take the toys he's playing with, but the dogs (mainly Max) better not take something of his. I'm pretty sure he thinks the dog toys are his too. The dogs have to hide to chew on a toy or Bo will take it from them. I don't mind him doing these things because the dogs know he's the boss over them, but he's going to have a rude awakening when he tries to do that to his friends - either from them or me!
The "dogs" begging for some of my snack. Right after taking this picture, Bo tried pushing Max out of the way.

Here is an example of dog boy carrying around a toy.

Stopped mid-crawl to pose.
Such a ham!
"I'm going to eat the camera!"
Cheesein' it again
Bo's new way to eat snacks. Push it out...
Kissy lips...
....and snack pops out. It does go back in and eventually down the hatch.
