Baby Dedication

We had our baby dedication this Sunday at church. Ava and two other babies, Leah Manthe and Douglas Smith (born a week before Ava) were dedicated. Ava wore her beautiful dress crocheted by Mrs. Kitchen, a wonderful and talented lady at our church.

After fun in the snow, Bo got to try some hot (warm) chocolate for the first time and checked out the polar bears at the Kansas City Zoo live online. I'm thinking a trip to the zoo is in order this spring. 

Baby, It's Cold Outside - Winter Fun

We've been playing a lot indoors lately because it finally started to be cold. Ava pretty much does what she does when it's nice out too - lay there. Although she is beginning to reach and play with toys, along with "talking" up a storm. With Bo, we've have had to get a little more creative. He loves to play school, color, and just in the last week his newest, most favorite thing to do is to use his potty. He won't tell us he has to go, he just goes by himself. He still has a LONG was to go, but it's a good start! Embarrassing toilet pictures coming soon.

Little Sister Saturday

I am not as good about taking pictures of Ava as I was with Bo. Mainly because it's hard to get many pictures taken when Bo is awake. Here are a few I snapped while Bo was napping. It's amazing how much she looks like Bo - with long eyelashes.

She may look like Bo but she has a totally different personality. Bo is either very happy or not and very busy. Ava so far seems to be very laid back and even keeled. One of each definitely keeps me on my toes!

Fall Fun!

We've gotten to do lots of fun things this fall. One thing we did last year that we were excited to do again this year was go to the pumpkin patch. We bought our pumpkins at Walmart (way cheaper!) and just did the fun stuff at the pumpkin patch. Bo was able to do a lot more fun stuff this year.

One thing that was different than last year was that we added Ava to the family.
