Christmas Picture Recap

I really should spend more time writing on my blog, but I just get so antsy to post the pictures I don't write much. I will try to fill in the blanks this time.

Christmas Eve we headed over to David's parents house for the annual Christmas Eve get together. All three of the boys are old enough to unwrap presents, although each appreciate different things about it. Mason actually likes the toys, Henry is just chill and likes the whole thing, and Bo likes to rip the paper and eat it (He actually got a few, tiny pieces down as I found out the next day in his diaper). I forgot my camera (of course) but there are lots of pictures posted on Facebook.

Christmas morning we woke up and opened our presents at home before going to church. I wish I could post a slideshow of the pictures we took. David took so many it's almost like a video of Bo opening the presents. Here are a few highlights.

I love this picture. Present level.
First present
Lovin' the paper
"This looks like a good book!"
Eating the paper
Mom trying to get the paper out
"Look what I got dad!"
He loved his pull along pup!
Excited!
I also have a picture of me at about this age with all my presents. Love it!

After church, we headed to my parent's house and opened gifts. Bo got this funny horse from my sisters. It dances and sings a song. Bo was a little unsure about it when it would sing and dance, but now he LOVES it. We named him Rowdy.
"Thanks Aunt Becky and Aunt Crystal!"

Bo helping my sister's boyfriend, Darren open gifts.
So cute!
My parents got Bo a barn with animals. He loves it! In fact he's chewing on the animals right now!

Such a fun first Christmas for Bo. He is swimming in new toys. I can't believe he will be almost 2 years old next year!!!

Twins!

What did you think that post title meant?! hehe Anyway, David had on his blue sweater for church on Sunday, which made me remember that Bo has a blue sweater just like it! Here are my twins ready for church.

I told you they were twins, didn't I!

It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas!

We weren't going to put our tree up this year because our house is on the market, but it just hasn't felt like Christmas, so I caved. I put it behind the coffee table so it doesn't make our living room smaller. I couldn't put all the branches on, so it's a little like Charlie Brown's, but it's up!

I put the tree up while Bo was taking a nap, and we captured his expression when he first saw it.
Bo had just woken up from his nap and was still a little out of it.

"Ohhhh pretty!"

"Look at the tree, mom!"

I can't wait to see what he does with his presents!

Thanksgiving and Seven Months Old

We had a great time over the Thanksgiving weekend and Bo is kicking off being seven months old by getting into everything!

"I love you daddy!"
Bo and daddy in matching outfits for church.
All dreamy eyed in Grandma and Grandpa's backyard.
We were trying to take Christmas card pictures, but the trees were way more interesting than pictures being taken.
All three of my boys hanging out over the long weekend.
This is my favorite picture. Bo thought it was so funny to roll himself up in the bathroom rug.

Six and a half months already!

Bo has been a very busy boy. He has added crawling to his list of things he loves to do. Well, it's more like an army crawl, but I'm sure it will be an all out crawl before too long. His favorite things to get into are Hallie's dog bowl, Hallie's feet, and the computer cord. It's funny how fast they learn what "no" means and how fast they choose to disobey. It's never too early for discipline!

I love books and I've been reading to Bo, but I haven't been letting him look at them by himself. I'm afraid he'll ruin them, but then I realized I would rather have to buy new books because he's ruined them using them, than having perfect books he hasn't ever read. Besides when he's older I can teach him to keep books nice. He does like to chew on them, but he actually does more looking than chewing. Hopefully we can keep up his love for books. I CAN NOT wait to read him some of my favorites!

Now on to pictures!

"Hey dude!"
Cute boy in a big hat.

"Look at me reading mom!"
Enjoying a book about his favorite subject - eating!

A Big Boy Bath and a Jumpy Frog

Bo had been taking a bath in the kitchen sink, but the bottom of the sink was really slick and it was a pain to disinfect the sink every time Bo needed a bath (which was becoming more frequent). One day I thought I would stick him in the tub just to try it out and what do you know, he loved it! I like it too because the bath stuff can stay out (instead of under the sink), the bottom of the tub is not slick, and Bo loves "swimming"! Daddy had to capture the event.
This is a picture to show the future wife!
Daddy took this picture because he liked this outfit. I like this picture because it shows you how long his legs are. This is a 6 month outfit.
We had so much fun on Halloween! Mommy and Daddy might have had more fun though!
Grandma Cherie and a little jumpy frog.
The three little speckled frogs - like from the song.

A Pumpkin Picking We Shall Go

Sunday, my mom, sisters, Darren (my sister Becky's boyfriend), David, Bo, and I went to Kirby Farms to find pumpkins in their pumpkin patch. This year the adults had more fun than the baby, but next year will be another story. There were lots of fun things to do - it's a kids paradise!
Bo and I looking at the goats. He liked feeling the wooden fence better than the goats.
Bo did NOT want to look through the painted picture thing. He kept pushing away and whining.
Looking at a pumpkin and almost blending in.
Daddy and Bo on some hay bales. These two have the same eyebrows!
Bo trying the hay.
Nom nom nom
All of us looking - except for Bo of course.
Bo loves his grandma!
Such a cute couple. Can't believe my sister's dating Jude Law! Just kidding!
I found this cute stud hanging out by the truck. I might take him home with me. ;)
This was just funny.
In the corn maze.
In the field, claiming his pumpkin. Putting things in their mouths is how babies mark their territory.
"Yep, I like this one. But that one over there is nice too!"

Can you spot the baby?
How about now?
While we were having fun taking pictures, Bo was having fun trying out the dirt.
We had so much fun and I can't say enough how much I LOVE our camera. It takes such good pictures, is easy to use, and so easy to transfer to the computer. I might have to take a photography class at KCKCC to get the most out of it though.
